New Work of Art at the PPA
A New work of Art is now on Display at the People's Palace of the Arts. The neo-contemporary sculpture, donated by a citizen is called "Peace must Prevail" the sculpture is made form pure white marble and features a peace and unity theme. The work of Art will become apart of the national cultural exhibit.

Government of SFRAN supports UNAM Sanctions on KAznia
The Deputy Secretary of State Affairs today sent the following message to the ANNA, "The Government of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North fully supports the most severe use of sanctions against the nation of Kaznia." It was also reported that Kazna's head of state himself emailed an Acadame North government official and used excessive profanity and personal attacks on the official after sanctions on Kaznia were put into affect.

Prime Minister Lays Wreath at Vetrans Monument
The Prime Minister of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North Adrijana Cesnik, layed a wreath at Acadame North's war veteran's monument outside the Federal People's Assembly today. On special occasions such as this the simple White marble monument that represents peace is guarded by a TDF, sentinel. The Wreath says "Pozabljen ne boš" or "You will not be forgotten", referring to fallen Yugoslav Partisans.

SFRAN Severs relations with Kaznia
In a written statement to the ANNA the Deputy Secretary of State Affairs duly noted that Acadame North has severed diplomatic relations with Kaznia, effective immediately. No other information was given other than an official letter of Protest was given to the Kaznian government.

The office of the Secretary of state Affairs offered the following statement regarding the current situation in Pakistan. "We feel that it is in the best interest of the Pakistani people and the poeple in the region that an election date in Pakistan is set up, and the current state of emergency be dissolved. Acadame North Slovene's watch Presidential Election Carefully
Slovenians in Acadame North have been watching the Presidential election closely, as the race is extremely tight. The winner of the Run off election Lojze Peterle, who is supported by Slovene Prime Minister Janez Jansa. Lojze won the run off with only 28.5% of votes being trailed by the Acadame North government supported Dr. Danilo Tuerk who was second with 24.7% of votes. The Current Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek announced that he was not going to run, most likely because of his battle with kidney cancer. The Slovenian President and and the Prime Minister has been in a public quarrel recently. This all comes 2 months before Slovenia will become the EU Presidency State.

"The world still faces the threat of poverty as it has for a long time, although Acadame North is a small Nation we must do our part to help make poverty history" the Deputy Prime Minister went on by saying that Acadame north will encourage the union of North American Micronations to increase its aid contribution all around the world.

The building was built in 2000 to be a Community center as well as to display important art. The Palace is home to 10 contemporary art pieces, 4 abstract paintings, a Collection of historical silver coins, as well as a world currency display and is also home to Acadame North's most important document the original copy of the Constitution. The assembly approved sending 38, 000 dollars to improve the building structure.

ANISA Releases annual Security Report
The Acadame North Intelligence and Security Agency Today released its annual National Security Report. The Report underlined that their has been a general decrease in the crime rate but an increase in border crossing violations.

Socialist Party of Acadame North gathers for 10th Annual Session
The General Secretary of the Socialist Party and the President of the SFRAN His Excellency M. Pconja opened the 10th annual session of the Central Committee by announcing some major changes that will occur; The name of the Party will be changed to the Socialist Party of Acadame North and new doctrines and policies will be adapted.
In a speech the President said "This party is ready to move into the future, this time in age needs a new Socialism" he added "We must maintain our Self management plan in order for our nation to achieve self reliance and brotherhood and unity."

Statement Regarding the Situation in Myanmar
The Secretariat of State affairs has released a statement on the current situation on the South Asian Country of Myanmar (Burma) that has recently been subject to thousands of protests to establish democracy; "It is the Position of the government and the people of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North that we support democratic reforms in the country as we always have, and we support the brave people of Myanmar who have decided to stand up to the Junta that is running their Nation, we call on the government of Myanmar to release political prisoners and establish free and democratic elections."

Acadame North Government Reforms its Foreign Affairs Policy
The Secretariat of State Affairs today has announced that the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North will reform its foreign affairs policy, after a request was made by the head of government; the Prime Minister. The New Policy will eliminate the SFRAN's support for the California Independence Movement as well as the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Support Will not be withdrawn for the world recognition of The Republic of China and the Puerto Rico Independence Movement. The government will also consider withdrawing support for foreign political parties.
In other news, the Deputy Prime Minister was interviewed by the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) today on behalf of the Prime Minister who could not make an appearance, the interview will be aired sometime this fall.

Shakeup at the FPA
A new session in Acadame Norths Legislative body the Federal People's Assembly (FPA), has not began without controversy. Three members of the FPA who have been pushing for reforms in the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North have been dismissed from their position by the Communist Party. The three Representatives had been very vocal on the criticism of the President of the SFRAN who is also the head of the Communist Party, at one point they blamed the President for the dismissal of the Secretary of Development and the suspicious resignation of the Secretary of the Interior. The three members of the FPA led a vote to transfer 50% of the ANNA's ownership from the state, to a Private non government company, the law was finally passed two months ago silently, with great opposition from the government. The SFRAN went through a series of large reforms in 2005 which included the changing of a the flag from a Communist looking to a vibrant national flag, as well as open elections for Members of the FPA.

Acadame North TDF Take Part in Military Operations
The Acadame North Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) BBegan to take part in a joint military exercise the first of its kind with the Internal Security Forces. The reservist based TDF will be conducting the main part of the exercises in a forest outside of the main administrative zone of Acadame North. About 23 soldgeirs from Acadame North and 4 soldiers form near by Karantania will be participating. The operation should come to a close in about a week.

President presents Acadame North War Veteran with Highest Order
The President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North and Supreme Commander of TDF Marshal M. Pconja, Awarded ONH Marshal Franz Košnik the Order of National Hero today at a ceremonial F.E.C meeting. During the 1940’s Marshal Košnik was a High Ranking officer in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and when Yugoslavia was defeated in the middle of World War II he joined Comrade Marshal Tito’s Partizans. The Marshal is also close friend of the President and he even was the Comrade President’s Communist Youth instructor in Socialist Yugoslavia. Marshal Franz also contributed greatly to the SFRAN and was the oldest to ever serve the position of Acadame North Defense Secretary (1999-2003). In 2004 The President awarded Franz the ceremonial rank of Marshal for his outstanding service in Acadame North TDF.
With Marshal Franz’s experience in Tito’s Partisans, he introduced new tactics to the Acadame North Territorial Defense Forces as well as a new doctrine the “Total National Defense Doctrine.” His notes and ways of training where carefully documented and are still used for the Training of the TDF.

Deputy Prime Minister Visits the UN
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North accompanied by the Secretary of State affairs and his advisers visited the United Nations Head Quarters in New York Today. The Federal Executive Council had made the decision to send them four days ago to express the SFRAN's interest in becoming a observer state at the U.N. As scheduled the Deputy Prime Minister met with top U.N officials but not the Secretary-general. As expected the subject of Acadame North becoming an observer state was avoided by the officials. The Deputy Prime Minister is to make a full report to the Comrade President and the Federal People's Assembly tomorrow.

Acadame North's President announces new Environmental Policy
M. Pconja President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North, Premier of the Communist Party and Chairmen of the Peoples Presidium in conjunction with the communist party announced a new environmental policy with a speech directly to the people of Acadame North. The short transcript given to the ANNA of the speech was released.
"Today everyone sees clear, that environmental policy is becoming more and more important and that the way we are treating the environment today will effect generations to come.
That is why as your president and leader I am introducing a new socialist environmental policy. This new policy will not only encourage Acadame North citizens living in Acadame North to change their lifestyle but citizens living around the world to change. A change in our lifestyle is absolutely necessary for us to achieve Self reliance and self management."

Acadame North Celebrates National Liberation Day
The Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North celebrated its largest holiday earlier today. The Day started with the national anthem being playing at 7:00AM. Among other events their was a small military parade composing of units from the Acadame North TDF and Internal Security, the President of the SFRAN M. Pconja Remarked on the governments great progress in reforms. This day marked Acadame North's 8th year of independence; it was this day in 1999 when the SFRAN became independent.

Acadame North President Visits Warship
In a rare public appearance Comrade President M. Pconja Supreme Commander of the Acadame North TDF visited a Canadian Halifax class navy frigate. The President was accompanied by the Acadame North Secretary of Defense and the ship's commanding officer. The Secretary of Defense issued a statement praising the NATO Force's ISAF mission in Afghanistan, calling it "one of the most important Peace keeping missions of all time." Although Acadame North has no navy it does maintain a reservist Civil force called the Acadame North Territorial Defense Forces.

May 4 Ceremonies Take Place in Acadame North
Acadame North Citizens took time to remember the day 27 years ago when Comrade Marshal Tito died. At 2:30 the President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Acadame North made a speech commemorating this day, in his Solemn speech he said "Today is not just a day to Remember Comrade Marshal Tito, it is a day to remember all who lost there lives fighting fascism." At 3:05 when Comrade Tito died people all over Acadame North observed 2 minutes of silence. Comrade Marshal Tito died in 1980 after suffering major complications from a leg amputation and of Cancer. He died at the Ljubljana Cancer Center in Slovenia.

The former president died yesterday of heart failure at the age of 76.

Acadame North PM visits Korolev
The Prime Minister of Acadame North visited the Federation of Korolev briefly today. The PM discussed the two nations healthy relations and defense ties. Korolev will host the annual three nation talks in the capital Centrum. The annual talks which where held last year in kirov, are between Korolev, Karantania and the SFRAN.

Deputy PM concludes eight Day Tour of Caribbean nations
The second Deputy Prime Minister of Acadame North arrived today from an eight day tour of Caribbean Nations. The Deputy Prime Minister visited the head of the Puerto Rican Independence movement. The Deputy PM also had a brief meeting with the Governor General of the Bahamas. Although The Commonwealth of Bahamas does not recognize the SFRAN, both nations are working hard to combat poverty. Towards the end of his tour the Deputy PM had a brief visit to Antigua and Barbuda. He is expected to address the National Assembly tomorrow to stress the importance of fighting poverty and the need for peaceful coexistence between all nations.

ISAF Nations end 3 weeks of Exercises
The Acadame North Reservist TDF (Territorial Defense Forces) completed its three weeks of exercises with other ISAF nations. The Acadame North Secretary of Defense relieved the forces for a six month leave for taken part in such a long exercise. This was the first joint ISAF exercise.

New Secretary of Development
The Deputy Prime Minister today appointed a new Secretary of Development after the old one resigned two weeks ago. The new Secretary is an Architect and is expected to be in charge of planning Acadame North's new National Assembly building. The Secretary of Development is a minor department but was recently granted a seat in the Federal Executive Council.

Acadame North braces for the worst
The Deputy Prime Minister of Acadame North Today declared a state of emergency as a massive ice storm heads straight for Acadame North. The President has called up one unit of Acadame North's Territorial Defense forces to help with possible rescue operations and power restoration. The Secretariat of Energy issued a statement saying that they expect to loose power for about six hours. Workers for the Secretariat of Energy are currently testing emergency generators as the Deputy Prime Minister urges fellow citizens to ''remain calm, and carry out normal duties.'' This is expected to be one of Acadame North's worst winter storms to ever hit the country. The last one in 2004 knocked out power for over 1 day and caused massive damages.
